Michael’s specialty is in studio lighting and shooting pre-war coach built classics: Bugatti, Delahaye, Cord, DuPont, Franklin, Rolls-Royce, Voisin, Delage, Duesenberg, Bentley, Cadillac, Lincoln, Alfa Romeo, Mercedes-Benz, Packard, Auburn, Talbot-Lago… The list is extensive and always growing. Michael’s first two books Motorcars of the Classic Era and Automobiles of the Chrome Age were released to critical and public acclaim. Speed, Style and Beauty, the Cars of the Ralph Lauren Collection was produced for the Museum of Fine Arts, Boston to coincide with their exhibition in the Spring of 2005. Latest titles include The Performing Art of the American Automobile which serves as the catalog for the Gateway Colorado Auto Museum, and Delahaye Styling and Design which was produced for the 2006 Pebble Beach Concours d’Elegance.
